Kalshi CEO Tarek Mansour said on X that the platform does not list markets that settle directly on death and designs rules to prevent users from profiting from death-related outcomes. Regarding the “Khamenei out as Supreme Leader” market, Kalshi will reimburse all fees, settle positions opened before his death at the last traded price prior to 1:14 a.m. EST (time of the first strike), and fully refund positions opened after his death, adding that no user will lose money on the market
