Vitalik states that Ethereum has just solved the biggest problem in blockchain
After ten years of effort, Ethereum has finally addressed the blockchain trilemma.
Vitalik announces that ZK-EVM has achieved production-level performance (proof time reduced to a few seconds, costs decreased by 45 times) + PeerDAS is now live on the mainnet = decentralization + consensus + ultra-large bandwidth, all three achieved.
Future roadmap:
2026: Significantly increase gas limit + first batch of ZK-EVM nodes
2026-28: Repricing and state adjustments to achieve secure scalability
2027-2030: Zero-knowledge proo
