英國議會通過《財產（數位資產等）法案》，正式將加密貨幣和穩定幣認定為個人財產，標誌著英國在數位資產法律地位方面取得重大突破。本週，該法案獲得查爾斯國王御准正式生效，使數位資產享有與傳統財產同等的法律保護，不再處於灰色地帶。
業界普遍歡迎這一舉措。英國比特幣政策組織（Bitcoin Policy UK）稱該法案是「重大進步」，行業組織CryptoUK表示，議會將法官以往個案實踐內容寫入成文法，為數位資產確權提供明確依據。此前，普通法雖零星認定數位代幣為財產，但缺乏統一標準。
新法遵循英格蘭和威爾士法律委員會2024年建議，將「數位或電子形式的事物」納入個人財產範疇，即使其不符合傳統有形物或合約權利的定義。法律專家指出，這將解決加密資產所有權糾紛中的不確定性問題，尤其在被盜資金追回、繼承及公司破產等案件中具有重要作用。
CryptoUK表示：「這為數位資產提供了更清晰的法律基礎，使法院更易判定所有權並處理詐騙後追索問題。」政府同時視此為推動英國成為數位金融中心的重要步驟。據金融監管數據顯示，約12%的英國成年人持有加密貨幣，且人數持續上升。
此外，英國政府正在考慮禁止政黨接受加密貨幣捐贈，此舉可能影響改革黨（Reform UK），該黨此前是首個接受數位資產的英國政黨。同時，政府推進DeFi稅收改革，新框架將使用戶在向借貸協議或流動性池存入代幣時免繳資本利得稅，進一步優化數位資產生態。
