穩定幣浪潮正重新升溫，越來越多的發行機構推出與實體資產掛鈎的代幣，主要是美元，儘管加密市場較10月高點有所降溫。
本週，德國的AllUnity合資企業由DWS、Galaxy和Flow Traders組成，已發行與瑞士法郎（CHFAU）掛鈎的穩定幣。在亞洲，SBI控股和Startale Group推出了與日元（JPYSC）掛鈎的版本。此前，Agant表示正在開發英鎊穩定幣，而香港預計將於3月開始授予穩定幣的許可。
值得注意的是，由Mark Zuckerberg領導的Meta被認為正計劃在今年上半年整合穩定幣支付功能。此前，Meta在2019年因受到立法機關和監管部門的強烈反對，曾失敗推出Libra（後更名為Diem）項目。
然而，根據Libra的聯合創始人、MIT教授兼MIT Cryptoeconomics Lab創始人Christian Catalini的說法，當前的情況已不同。穩定幣正逐漸成為支付基礎設施的一部分，由多方提供，並具有“商品化”的特徵，而非與某一品牌掛鈎。
Catalini認為，不僅是Meta，Google或Apple也可能使用多個穩定幣供應商，類似他們目前處理支付的方式。這表明市場已經更成熟，穩定幣已成為一個平台工具，而非象徵性產品。
這一觀點也得到了Meta的副總裁Andy Stone的強調，他表示目標僅是讓用戶和企業能以他們偏好的方式在平台上進行支付。
根據Catalini的說法，在穩定幣時代，最大的競爭優勢不再是發行代幣或在不同區塊鏈間協調支付，而是擁有分銷渠道和與最終用戶的直接關係。
Meta目前在Facebook、WhatsApp和Instagram上擁有近36億用戶，根據最新財報，這是一個巨大的分銷優勢。
這一轉變標誌著與過去“穩定幣三明治”模式的重大不同，該模式中價值通過法幣轉換為加密貨幣再轉回法幣的過程來創造。
近期的發展也顯示，一些公司已放棄收購專門協調穩定幣的單位，反映出“商品化”發行和支付基礎設施的趨勢。
這可能為傳統的卡片網絡和金融科技公司如Visa和Mastercard帶來優勢，這些公司與用戶的接觸點最為直接。儘管穩定幣可能威脅交易手續費收入，但分銷優勢仍是他們的重要“經濟動力”。
Catalini認為，隨著越來越多的銀行和機構希望發行自己的代幣，“商品化”穩定幣是不可避免的。當資產變得普及，競爭將轉向支付基礎設施（rails）和用戶接入能力。
在這場競賽中，Stripe也扮演著重要角色——這是Meta長期的支付合作夥伴。Stripe曾斥資11億美元收購專注於穩定幣的Bridge公司，並建立了名為Tempo的區塊鏈。
然而，Catalini質疑這些競爭對手是否願意在由競爭對手控制的區塊鏈上建設。他認為，最大挑戰仍是確保網絡的開放性和中立性——這也是加密的核心精神。
他表示，長期來看，在已建立的網絡如Ethereum、Bitcoin或Solana上建設，可能是更實際的選擇。
