BlockBeats 消息，3 月 5 日，据《财富》杂志报道，加密創投領域最大的參與者正在重返募資市場。Andreessen Horowitz 旗下的區塊鏈投資部門 a16z Crypto 目前正在募集其第五只基金。多位知情人士在匿名條件下向《財富》透露了這一消息，以討論相關機密業務運作。
其中一位消息人士表示，該機構的募資目標約為 20 億美元，並計劃在 2026 年上半年結束前完成募資。
由資深投資人、企業家 Chris Dixon 領導的 a16z crypto，于 2018 年推出了首只規模 3 億美元的基金。此前一年，區塊鏈熱潮曾推動比特幣價格飆升至 2 萬美元。此後每一只基金規模都大於上一只，並在 2022 年達到巔峰，推出了一只規模高達 45 億美元的「巨無霸」基金，該基金目前仍在持續投資。
儘管最新基金規模不到上一只的一半，但一位知情人士稱，a16z crypto 計劃縮短募資周期，以便更好地把握加密行業趨勢快速變化帶來的機會。此前幾只基金均在彼此間隔一至兩年內完成募資。
