Gate News 消息，3 月 14 日，CNN 援引一名伊朗高级官员的说法称，伊朗正考虑允许有限数量的油轮通过霍尔木兹海峡（全球重要石油运输通道），前提是这些油轮运载的石油货物必须以人民币结算。该消息人士补充说，伊朗目前正致力于制定一项新计划，以管理油轮通过霍尔木兹海峡的通行事宜，上述潜在举措正是在此背景下提出的。CNN 称，目前的国际石油贸易几乎完全以美元结算，唯一的例外是受制裁的俄罗斯石油，其交易货币为卢布或人民币。
