Whether it's from previous airdrops or playing openclaw recently, one experience I have is that a router with built-in VPN capability is really key.
My device is an ASUS AX 86U running Merlin firmware with VPN tunneling built in.
This way, whenever any device in my LAN needs global VPN access, I can directly specify the IP in the router settings without needing to configure that device itself at all.
This has saved me countless hours.
