According to The Block, on Wednesday (April 29), the Senate Banking Committee voted 13-11 to approve Kevin Warsh’s nomination as Federal Reserve chair, advancing it to a full Senate vote. The committee split along party lines, with Senate Banking Committee Chair Tim Scott stating that Warsh’s leadership is essential at the Federal Reserve.

During last week’s nomination hearing, Warsh addressed digital assets, stating that they are already ingrained in the financial services industry. His financial disclosures released this month revealed dozens of crypto holdings, including investments in dYdX, Lighter, Polychain, Dapper Labs, Solana, and Optimism.
