Distributed Lab is a software engineering company known for its expertise in Bitcoin, Cryptography, and smart contracts. This acquisition will enhance Blockstream's position in the consumer, enterprise, and institutional user sectors by expanding its team, product roadmap, and partner network. The agreement includes adding Distributed Lab's proprietary software modules, developer tools, and intellectual property to Blockstream's platform, which includes Blockstream applications, Jade hardware wallet, Liquid Network services, tokenization, Simplicity, and enterprise custody solutions. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal is expected to be completed in the coming weeks.
