The cryptocurrency wallet company Ledger has signed its first sports jersey sponsorship deal with the San Antonio Spurs in a multi-year agreement. Ledger’s logo will appear on the team’s jersey at this week’s NBA Draft event.
Ledger’s chairman, Pascal Gauthier, said that collaborating with the historic American team would help them attract the next generation of independent individuals. The Spurs, the NBA’s premier international team, are quickly expanding their fan base.
Cryptocurrency exchanges have spent 565 million USD on global sports sponsorships in the 2024-2025 season, a 20% increase from the previous year. Ledger will participate in Spurs’ community activities in Paris and become a key partner in youth sports programs. Gauthier said 40% of Ledger’s revenue comes from the United States.
