BIS appoints a Digital Money expert as the head of the innovation center

According to Mars Finance, Cointelegraph reported that the bank for international settlements (BIS) announced the appointment of Tommaso Mancini-Griffoli, Assistant Director of the IMF Department of Money and Capital Markets, as the new head of the innovation center, effective March 2026. He will promote projects like CBDC and tokenization of assets, advocating for a public-private partnership “synthetic CBDC” model.
