The victim sent a message to the hacker
Unexpectedly caught Wang Chun revealing that he was hacked for a large amount of Bitcoin
Who is Wang Chun?
Recently, a whale/institution withdrew 50 million USDT from Binance, first “testing” by transferring 50 USDT to the planned receiving address. As a result, the attacker quickly generated a similar address with the same first and last 3 digits, and transferred 0.005 USDT of a dust token to the victim.
The victim, during the formal transfer, allegedly copied the address directly from recent transaction records, resulting in the entire 50 million USDT being transferred to an address similar to that of the attacker, causing widespread discussion in the community.
) The victim sent a message to the hacker.
After the attack incident occurred, the victim sent an on-chain message to the hacker yesterday (20):
We have officially filed a criminal lawsuit. With the assistance of law enforcement agencies, cybersecurity organizations, and multiple blockchain protocols, we have collected a substantial and specific amount of intelligence regarding your activities.
The following wallet address you control is currently under 24-hour surveillance:
…
This is your last chance to resolve this matter peacefully.
You are required to return 98% of the stolen assets to the following address within 48 hours:
0xcB8………….00819
You can retain 1,000,000 USD as a “white hat bounty” for discovering vulnerabilities, but the premise of this proposal is that you must cooperate fully and promptly. Once the funds are returned, we will consider the case closed and will not take further action…
accidentally fished out Wang Chun revealing that he was hacked and lost a large amount of Bitcoin
While the community mourns for this careless victim, Wang Chun, co-founder of one of the world's largest Bitcoin mining pools F2Pool###, quoted that on-chain message on X and stated:
It's really a pity! Please don't take everything away from this gentleman.
Last year, I suspected that my private key had been compromised. To confirm whether the address was indeed compromised, I transferred 500 Bitcoins into it. To my surprise, the hacker was very “generous”, only taking 490 coins and leaving me 10 Bitcoins as living expenses.
Wang Chunyun's casual self-exposure made everyone in the community feel “What the Fuck.” After all, knowing there are risks, who would still deposit a large amount to test it??? At that time, 500 Bitcoins were also close to 25 million USD… It makes the community sigh that the world of the rich is really something ordinary people cannot relate to.
What a shame! Please don’t take away everything from this gentleman.

Regarding the address provided by Wang Chun, the author went to trace the historical records and found that on February 12, 2024, there were indeed related transaction records… However, Wang Chun himself did not provide further explanation on this matter.
( Who is Wang Chun?
Chun Wang is a player of “ancient god” level in the cryptocurrency circle. He started mining Bitcoin in 2011 when the coin price was only about 1 dollar, and in 2013 he founded Fish Pool, which is one of the oldest and largest Bitcoin Mining Pools in the world.
He once recounted that around 2011, he mined more than 7,700 Bitcoins, of which over 4,000 were used to pay for electricity. There was even an incident where more than 600 Bitcoins were used to buy an iPhone, which was then stolen in the Moscow subway… For someone who has experienced Bitcoin rising from 1 USD to 100,000 USD, the wealth he has accumulated must have allowed him to take the loss of 500 Bitcoins lightly.
