José Maria Macedo, founder of Delphi Ventures, wrote in a post on X that after reading Ambient founder Doug Colkitt’s X post (note: Colkitt predicted the content of Justin Drake’s proposal at ETH Fund Foundation’s core research institute yesterday), I was originally excited about the vision of ETH 3.0, but Justin Drake’s real proposal was disappointing. It was basically a refactored codebase that could achieve a block time of 4 seconds and quantum resistance, which will be implemented in 2029-2030. These upgrades alone are not enough to make ETH Layer1 competitive, and not even enough to make people believe it’s competitive. The ETH Fund Foundation needs a bigger dream.
