#美国经济数据 I just saw the news that the Fed chairman is going to be replaced, and I'm a bit confused, but I feel like this is very important for us newbies in Cryptocurrency Trading?
I understood it simply, Powell will step down in May next year, and he might be replaced by Hassert. What I'm most concerned about is—does this mean that interest rates will drop significantly? It seems that the logic of lowering interest rates = good thing should be correct, right? But after looking at the analysis, I found that the market is actually not that optimistic, expecting a maximum decrease of 75 basis points next year, and two of those cuts might happen before the new chairman takes office.
This suddenly made me realize a problem: during the transition period of the Fed chair, the inflation rate will still hover around 3%, and the real interest rate is close to zero. Does this mean that it is actually quite loose now? Then why do I feel that the market is still worried?
The most heartbreaking thing is that the market does not believe that the new chairman will "significantly relax" as Trump suggested, which shows that traders are well aware that the current economic situation does not allow for aggressive actions. It feels like this is the real logic affecting coin prices, rather than the simplistic view I initially had.
Can any expert help me explain what specific impact a near-zero real interest rate has on holding coins?
