Another leading public chain ecosystem is undergoing a technological overhaul. The Erigon node will officially cease service starting today (UTC 00:00 shutdown), and all node operators must switch to the Reth or Geth client without a buffer period.

At first glance, it's a bold decision. It doesn't significantly impact us ordinary traders, but for node operators and ecosystem developers, this upgrade is no small feat. In the short term, some nodes may go offline, and the network could experience fluctuations.

However, from another perspective, standardizing client protocols makes sense — it can improve network stability and security. Forced upgrades may be temporarily painful, but in the long run, they promote the maturity of blockchain infrastructure. Just be mindful of market fluctuations during these few days to avoid being caught off guard by unexpected events.
