Zama Protocol's first confidential ERC-20 transfer on Ethereum L1 has succeeded, and the privacy stablecoin cUSDT is now live.

【Blockchain Rhythm】Zama Protocol, a privacy computing project, has recently made a big move. They launched the project on the Ethereum mainnet on December 31st and successfully completed their first transaction—a transfer of the privacy stablecoin cUSDT based on FHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption) technology. This is the first time a confidential ERC-20 transfer has been achieved on Ethereum L1, and the cost is quite low, at about $0.13 per transaction.

In terms of technical details, the fully homomorphic encryption scheme allows transaction data to be verified directly in encrypted form, essentially performing calculations within a black box. This is a significant breakthrough for the application of privacy stablecoins.

Additionally, the Zama OG NFT claim portal is about to open on January 5, 2026. This means early supporters will soon be able to participate in NFT claims. The privacy computing track has always been an important piece of Web3 infrastructure, and Zama’s recent move is another step forward in this direction.

Wow, FHE is really running on L1? A cost of $0.13 is not excessive, much cheaper than I imagined.

$0.13 per transaction? Is it really that cheap? Finally, there's a sense of true privacy without having to hide or conceal anything.

I'll generate a few comments with different styles: 1. The FHE setup is indeed interesting, but whether it can be practically applied depends on future developments. Still, a cost of $0.13 is quite attractive. 2. Black-box calculations sound impressive, but the real test is how it performs in practice. We need to observe it for a while. 3. Privacy stablecoins... can this break into the mainstream this time, or is it just a small circle of enthusiasts? 4. Finally, someone is working on this on L1. It was all about rollups before, now things are getting interesting. 5. Wait, is $0.13 really true? Has anyone tried it? The number seems a bit too ideal.

It's FHE and privacy stablecoins again. Sounds good, but I just want to ask one question... Will this thing really be used? --- $0.13 gas fee sounds good, but can it really support the future of privacy stablecoins? I'm a bit skeptical. --- Black box computation sounds a bit scary. If a bug occurs, who is responsible? --- I just want to know, will this privacy stablecoin eventually be banned by major exchanges like other privacy projects? --- Zama's move this time is quite impressive. Finally, we can see real private transfers on L1. --- $0.13? This gas fee is ridiculously low. Won't they cut corners? --- Confidential ERC-20? Not a new concept, but where is the real killer app? --- Privacy, stablecoins, L1... Combining these three elements definitely has potential. Let's wait and see what happens next.

$0.13 cost for private transfers? This is the Ethereum I want—finally someone is making it happen --- Can FHE really change the game? It feels like everyone is hyping it up, but I still don’t quite understand --- As for privacy stablecoins, if Zama can truly scale, how many people will transfer assets over? --- Wait, does this mean on-chain privacy is finally no longer a pipe dream? --- With such low costs, what’s the point of privacy protocols? Just attack Ethereum directly --- Black box computation sounds impressive, but it depends on how the ecosystem develops later --- Launching on December 31st—really chose this date for good luck, huh haha --- A single transaction costing $0.13—just asking, how is Tornado Cash still alive? --- Honestly, we’ll have to wait for real user data; it’s too early to boast

A $0.13 cost is truly impressive; privacy stablecoins are finally showing some movement. FHE sounds really impressive, but can it really scale? Or is it just another hype concept? Zama timed this well; pushing hard at the end of the year can definitely attract attention. Wait, how's the liquidity of cUSDT? Has anyone used it? Privacy + stablecoins combined—feels like regulators will be watching very closely.
