Recently, the actions in the blockchain game ecosystem have been quite frequent, with several heavyweight projects making new progress.

Axie Infinity has made a major adjustment to its economic model. The official announcement states that starting from January 7, the production of SLP tokens in the Origins game mode will cease. The main goal is to combat automated mining and protect the game's long-term economic health. However, the deposit function for SLP remains open and will not be affected. This move clearly aims to optimize the sustainability of the game ecosystem.

The MMORPG game RavenQuest is also not willing to stay idle, having directly burned 13 million QUEST tokens, which accounts for 5% of the current circulating supply. Burning tokens to optimize the token economy model and enhance long-term value has now become a standard operation for many projects.

Immutable has launched a new game. A multiplayer racing game called Marble Dash has officially landed on the Immutable Play platform, featuring physics-based track design where players can use strategy cards to compete against each other. It seems that exploration of racing games in Web3 is still ongoing.

NomStead's 2026 roadmap is also worth noting, with plans to introduce two core pillars this year: a combat system and on-chain economy. Meanwhile, the first partner project, Skitty, is scheduled to launch on January 15. Based on the current project progress, everyone is working towards a more complete gaming experience.

So many projects are competing over the economic model. It feels like a good thing, right? It's definitely better than those that run away.

Stop SLP production? Are you trying to force everyone to recharge? Miners are going to cry. Destroying that 5% of QUEST feels like just a move to make the financial report look good. Marble Dash sounds okay, but I don't know if it runs smoothly during gameplay. NomStead is just hyping it up; let's wait until the 15th to see if it launches. The blockchain game ecosystem is still the same old story—either destroy or cease production. Where are the truly playable games?

Token burning, token discontinuation... In simple terms, it's all about rescuing the market. Players have already profited. Axie's recent moves are a bit late; SLP has already hit rock bottom. Wait, is Marble Dash really fun, or is it just another shell for a money grab? Whether to believe in NomStead's roadmap depends on how Skitty performs after its launch.

Axie is starting to farm again, stopping SLP production was long overdue. Destroying tokens, RavenQuest is playing it really well, much better than some projects that just talk but don’t act. Marble Dash sounds really exciting just from the name, but I wonder how long it can stay popular without cooling off. NomStead’s roadmap this time seems a bit more sincere, Skitty launches on January 15th, if I’m not trapped by then, I’ll give it a try. This round of ecosystem activity is really good, just don’t run away after a quick pump like some projects do.

Axie is starting to cut leeks again. Stopping SLP production and still claiming it's to "protect the ecosystem"—laughable. Burning tokens is such a common trick now; every project is doing it. Marble Dash racing game? Feels like a re-skin. Who knows how long it will last. NomStead's roadmap is fully loaded, but honestly, are these kinds of promises really reliable? A bunch of new moves, but the retention rate of blockchain game users remains the same—pointless.

Destroying tokens is almost overused; can it really save the project? I think it still depends on whether the game itself can retain players. Axie’s recent halt of SLP production is reliable; finally, someone remembers how to build a healthy ecosystem. Marble Dash sounds good; I just don’t know how long it can last.
