Sui's block time has already surpassed the 100-millisecond mark.

Specifically, Sui is currently stable at around 80ms, while Aptos is even more aggressive, having reduced it to 50ms. Looking at today's Layer-1 track, these two chains are considered the top speed contenders:

Both use a design based on the Move language. Both originate from the same technical source—the legacy of the Libra/Diem project. Interestingly, fans from both communities are surprisingly friendly toward each other.

Take a moment to think about the story behind this; it's quite intriguing.

80ms is indeed fast enough, but I just want to know how long this speed can last without crashing. The real test is still to come.

80ms is really impressive, but what kind of monster is Aptos's 50ms... These two chains being so close and seamless is a bit unusual.

80ms speed is indeed impressive, but can you really feel the difference in real-world scenarios? --- Aptos 50ms? That's outrageous, it feels like these two chains are competing against each other. --- Born from Libra's bloodline, no wonder the community is so united—these are projects with stories. --- Fast speed is good, but the key is whether the ecosystem can keep up; otherwise, it's just on paper data. --- 50ms vs 80ms, can this speed difference really change the experience, or is it just for show? --- Are the two communities genuinely friendly, or is it just fake politeness in the crypto world... --- Move language finally came in handy this time; the spirit of Libra back then was not wasted.

80ms is really good, but honestly, these numbers make me doubt everything. Can it really be practically applied? Aptos is also racing to outdo each other in speed, it feels like both are competing to be faster, but what about user experience? The showdown between the two Move language giants is the real highlight. Libra's ambitions ultimately come down to this.

80ms compared to Aptos's 50ms, the gap is still obvious. Sui needs to step up.

80ms? Sounds good, but does anyone really care? It still depends on whether the ecosystem has things to play with. Aptos 50ms is so fast, but why is the on-chain activity still so quiet... What's the use of speed if there's nothing happening? Move's two giants are praising each other, which is quite rare in this space. Other chains are busy fighting each other. What is under 100 milliseconds worth? I'm more concerned about when TVL will pick up. The relationship between Sui and Aptos is a bit interesting. Is this really just marketing? Or are everyone just banding together for more heat?
