Speed isn't everything when it comes to Move chains winning the race.

Look at the numbers: parallel EVM L1s like Monad are hitting 400ms blocktimes, while Sei comes in around 520ms. Impressive? Sure. But here's the thing—they're still playing catch-up to what Move-based networks are pulling off.

Aptos is running at roughly 50ms blocktime (and targeting 10ms), while Sui sits around 80ms. That's not just faster on paper. It fundamentally changes how applications can be built and how users experience the network.

The gap is real, and it's technical. But the question isn't whether speed alone determines winners—it's whether Move chains can convert that performance advantage into actual ecosystem adoption and developer momentum.

nah tbh the real question is whether aptos can stop hemorrhaging devs long enough to actually USE that speed advantage... 50ms blocktime means nothing if nobody's building on it lmao

ngl the blocktime flex means nothing if devs keep building on whatever has liquidity... seen this movie before, 2022 flashbacks hitting different rn

Speed doesn't mean everything; the ecosystem of the Move chain is the real key... 50ms vs 400ms, the numbers look impressive, but whether developers stay truly depends on the ecosystem.

Alright, 50ms vs 400ms, those numbers are indeed quite different. But to be honest, the ecosystem is the key; without developers building, everything else is pointless.

NGL, Aptos's 50ms latency is indeed outrageous, but what about the ecosystem? Being fast is useless if no one can truly retain developers.

But the real bottleneck is the ecosystem. What's the use of having fast speed if no one is building on it?

Aptos's 50ms really outperforms others, but to be honest, the ecosystem is the real weakness... Speed alone is useless.
