I'm planning to dive deeper into the adoption trends of non-USD stablecoins in upcoming pieces. But here's something worth noting: the teams developing on-chain FX infrastructure aren't typically crypto-native builders—quite the opposite, actually. Most come from traditional finance backgrounds. As I explored in an earlier piece, the challenge is this: many on-chain FX solutions end up relying heavily on traditional banking infrastructure to function. This dependency creates friction when you're trying to build something truly decentralized. It's a fundamental tension worth thinking about.

Honestly, it's the same old story—TradFi folks come into crypto, and it still ends up tying back to traditional finance. Another layer of nesting?

In plain terms, the traditional financial system is still unavoidable. If you want true decentralization, you still have to rely on the banking system. How can this contradiction be resolved?

Traditional finance people getting into on-chain stuff is inherently contradictory, and they still want decentralization? That's hilarious.

Haha, that's how the traditional finance folks do on-chain FX. In the end, it still has to rely on the banking system, which makes it pointless.

Nah, that's the problem. People with traditional finance backgrounds working on on-chain infrastructure still can't get away from the banking system. So what's the original intention of decentralization?
