Gate expands TradFi features, exploring multi-asset traditional financial asset spread contract trading scenarios

Global leading cryptocurrency asset trading platform Gate continues to expand TradFi features, opening traditional financial asset CFD trading services covering gold, forex, indices, commodities, and some popular stocks to users. This feature has been integrated into the Gate App, marking the platform’s further expansion beyond crypto asset trading into the traditional financial asset price trading sector, continuously improving its multi-asset trading product system.

According to reports, Gate TradFi contracts use USDx as the margin and account display unit. USDx is not a legal currency or cryptocurrency but an internal platform valuation unit used for TradFi asset accounting and balance display, pegged 1:1 to assets priced in USDT. After users transfer USDT to the TradFi account, the system displays the balance in USDx form. The related assets are still fully supported by USDT, requiring no manual exchange and incurring no additional fees or custody charges.

In terms of trading mechanisms, Gate TradFi contracts differ significantly from crypto perpetual contracts. TradFi contracts follow traditional financial market trading rules, with fixed trading hours and market close arrangements. The leverage is fixed and cannot be manually adjusted by users; margin is maintained in a full position mode, and multiple long and short positions on the same trading pair can be hedged based on the number of contracts. Profits and losses are calculated at the counterparty price, and overnight fees are incurred during market close. Overall, the rules are consistent with mainstream CFD markets.

Regarding fee and leverage settings, Gate TradFi contracts support up to 500x leverage for major products like forex and indices, and up to 5x leverage for stock CFDs. Notably, Gate TradFi offers significant advantages in rates, with single transaction fees as low as $0.018, providing users with a relatively clear and controllable trading cost structure.

On the system and risk control level, Gate TradFi provides trading services via the MT5 (MetaTrader 5) system, with account data and trading records synchronized between the Gate App and MT5 client. The platform also employs a margin ratio-based forced liquidation mechanism: when the account margin ratio drops to 50% or below, the system triggers forced liquidation, gradually closing relevant positions according to predefined rules to control overall risk exposure.

Additionally, Gate recently launched a TradFi experience campaign, where users can receive up to 110 USDT in experience rewards upon registration, and after completing trades, unlock a phased incentive of up to 3,000 USDT to support their first TradFi trading experience.
