Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, February 21 (Reporter Ye Haoming, Wang Yuhui) — According to the Ministry of Transport, on February 20 (the 19th day of the Spring Festival travel period, the fourth day of the lunar new year), the total cross-regional personnel flow in society reached 352.99 million trips, a 12.3% increase compared to the same period in 2025 (February 1, the fourth day of the lunar new year), setting a new record.
Specifically, road transportation accounted for 333.02 million trips, a 12.1% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Among these, non-commercial passenger trips on expressways and general national and provincial roads totaled 304.84 million, up 12.8% from 2025; commercial road passenger transport volume was 28.18 million, a 5.4% increase.
Railway passenger volume was 15.37 million, up 14.9%; waterway passenger volume was 2.03 million, an increase of 38.3%; civil aviation passenger volume was 2.57 million, an 8.2% increase compared to 2025.
