Honeywell Takes $640 Million Axe To Johnson Matthey Deal

Honeywell International Inc. has amended its agreement to acquire Johnson Matthey Plc’s Catalyst Technologies business, reducing the purchase price by approximately $640 million to 1.325 billion pounds ($1.79 billion). The deal’s long stop date has been extended to allow for regulatory approvals, with closure expected by the end of August 2026. Johnson Matthey shares fell significantly following the announcement, while Honeywell’s stock shows mixed momentum with a neutral RSI and bearish MACD.
