Chinese polyethylene production companies' sample inventory levels decreased by 9.48% compared to the previous period

As of February 11, 2026, the sample inventory of polyethylene production enterprises in China was 343,700 tons, down 36,000 tons from the previous period, a month-on-month decrease of 9.48%. The inventory trend has shifted from rising to falling. The main reason is that production companies actively destock and sell in-transit resources, transferring inventory to intermediaries. Additionally, due to the declining market prices and weakening basis, hedgers entered the market to purchase, causing production enterprise inventories to decrease.
