IT House, February 12 — Microsoft announced on February 10 the release of Visual Studio 2026 version 18.3.0, focusing on AI integration and platform performance improvements.
In terms of AI integration, the new version introduces GitHub Copilot memory features, supporting AI across all coding sessions, learning specific coding standards and project best practices to provide developers with smarter suggestions more aligned with the project context.
To assist developers in purchasing AI assistants, version 18.3.0 expands the M365 AI assistant toolkit template library, adding Teams co-authoring (for building automation workflows) and Travel AI (a travel planning assistant).
Regarding security and efficiency, version 18.3.0 introduces automatic certificate revocation checks to enhance developer security during network calls. Additionally, the new version supports developers fixing vulnerabilities and updating software packages to the latest versions through natural language prompts.
In terms of coding experience, the update adds the “Insignificant Line Compression” feature, which reduces the vertical height of non-alphanumeric lines, freeing up 25% of screen space.
IT House’s community feedback indicates that some users, after updating to Visual Studio 18.3.0, encounter issues where projects fail to load and cannot create new RCL projects, receiving an HRESULT 0x80041FE4 error message.
