On February 5, 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the 2026 New Year Reception. Nearly 500 people, including ambassadors and representatives of international organizations in China, as well as representatives from various Chinese departments, attended. Wang Yi stated that in the new year, the world is becoming more turbulent, and peace and development face severe tests. History has repeatedly shown that division and confrontation are doomed to have no way out; working together is the right choice.
