Deep Tide TechFlow News, February 26 — According to Jinshi Data, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) issued a statement on the fourth review of the United States in 2026 on the 25th, saying that the U.S. should engage in constructive cooperation with its trading partners, eliminate concerns about unfair trade practices, and work towards reaching agreements on reducing trade restrictions with negative cross-border impacts. The statement said that trade and investment measures, including tariffs and export controls, should be kept within a relatively narrow scope when implemented for national security reasons, to minimize negative impacts on both domestic and international levels. The statement also noted that raising tariffs is a distortion of productive resources, which disrupts global supply chains, harms the benefits of global trade, and increases costs.
