Abstract generation in progress

On the supply side, Southern Alkali Industry began maintenance on February 1st, and is now venting. It is expected to increase production volume in the next day or two. Henan Junhua is increasing its load. Several soda ash plants have been gradually resuming operations recently, with no new maintenance plans, and new capacity is being released gradually, keeping supply at a high level.

On the demand side, as the Spring Festival approaches, downstream demand is gradually slowing down, and stockpiling has basically come to an end. The daily melting volume of float glass has decreased to 149,000 tons, and there are still expectations of cold repairs after the holiday.

In summary, soda ash supply remains at a relatively high level, downstream float glass still has cold repair expectations, and overall soda ash supply and demand are relatively weak. It is expected that short-term soda ash futures will remain volatile and slightly weak, with attention to coal prices and plant changes. (First Capital Futures)
