CoinWorld News reports that U.S. Republican Senator Cynthia Lummis responded to SBF's public statement on the 《CLARITY Act》, saying, "Some people are seeking amnesty but don't realize that the 《CLARITY Act》 would result in a sentence far exceeding 25 years in prison. My 《CLARITY Act》 is completely different in content from the legislation SBF tried to push in 2022." She also explicitly stated that she does not need and does not seek SBF's support. Earlier, SBF posted that the 《CLARITY Act》 would be an important milestone for the crypto industry and mentioned that he had previously promoted similar legislation, but was ultimately prosecuted and imprisoned by the Biden administration's Department of Justice after interference from the former SEC chairman.
