Industry insiders have learned that electric utility companies in California, New York, North Carolina, Texas, and other states receive a total of approximately $400 million to $500 million annually in government subsidies for grid upgrades and charging infrastructure. Nearly half of these subsidies are used to purchase charging solutions from DaoTong Technology. The insider further revealed that DaoTong will secure at least 100 energy storage demonstration stations in cooperation with electric utilities this year. Currently, DaoTong has launched six “Energy Storage + Supercharging” projects in North America, increasing overall station revenue through peak shaving, valley filling, demand response, and electricity price arbitrage. The company’s estimated additional return on investment can reach 20%–30%. Although DaoTong has not disclosed new factory plans, sources understand that its existing capacity is shifting toward energy storage and related system products to meet the rapid growth in demand in the North American market. DaoTong Technology has told reporters that its future business adjustments will focus on energy storage and power system capabilities, with plans to shift R&D efforts toward integrated energy storage and photovoltaic charging solutions. The company’s 2026 investment priorities include load forecasting, scheduling algorithms, and millisecond-level control response capabilities to adapt to highly volatile electricity usage scenarios.
