HP Inc. announced that memory now constitutes 35 percent of its PC material costs, a significant increase from 15-18 percent last quarter, and anticipates further rises throughout the year. The company is responding by securing long-term supply agreements, qualifying new suppliers, and taking targeted pricing actions. Despite challenges from rising memory prices and a “tumultuous business environment,” PC sales increased, driven by Windows 11 adoption and demand for AI PCs, with 35% of current HP PC sales being AI models.
