According to a report by Bloomberg, Toby Pochlen, co-founder of xAI — an artificial intelligence company owned by Elon Musk, announced today that he is leaving the company.
On the platform X, he wrote: "Today is my last day at xAI," and joked with the team: "No one can stay awake longer than you," adding that he now plans to "sleep for more than 8 hours first."
This is the fourth public departure of an xAI co-founder in the past three months. Since the company's founding in 2023, out of the original 12 team members, 7 have already confirmed their resignation, including former Google scientist Tony Wu, University of Toronto professor Jimmy Bai, and one of Groq's co-founders, Greg Yan.
