Overseas Macro
Monday (March 2): The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Board of Governors will hold a special meeting on Iran on the morning of March 2 local time.
The US and Israel conducted airstrikes on Iran resulting in over 200 deaths. Iran confirmed that Supreme Leader Khamenei was targeted. The US and Israel claimed to have launched extensive strikes on Iran’s missile defense systems and other targets. Iran announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Focus on Monday’s impact on global stock markets, currency markets, shipping, crude oil, and other commodities.
Tuesday (March 3): Eurozone February CPI data; New York Fed President Williams delivers a speech.
Wednesday (March 4): US February ADP employment figures, S&P Global Services PMI final, February ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI; IMF’s “Asia 2050” conference begins in Bangkok.
Thursday (March 5): US February Challenger layoffs, weekly initial jobless claims ending February 28.

China Macro
This week, the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) will have 1.525 trillion yuan of reverse repos maturing. Maturities are scheduled as follows: 526 billion yuan from Tuesday to Wednesday, 409.5 billion yuan on Wednesday, 320.5 billion yuan on Thursday, and 269 billion yuan on Friday. Additionally, on Friday (March 6), 1 trillion yuan of 91-day reverse repos will mature.
Monday (March 2): The PBOC announced that starting March 2, the foreign exchange risk reserve ratio for forward foreign exchange sales will be reduced from 20% to 0%.
Tuesday (March 3): China’s official February manufacturing PMI, RatingDog manufacturing and services PMI data.
Wednesday (March 4): The Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress and the Fourth Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference will open in Beijing on March 5 and March 4, respectively.
Industry News
Monday (March 2): The Mobile World Congress (MWC 2026) will be held from March 2 to 5 in Barcelona, Spain; Alibaba’s Qianwen will launch AI glasses at MWC 2026.
Wednesday (March 4): Apple will hold a product launch on March 4, with updates to the Mac series expected.
