On March 2nd, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning hosted a routine press conference. A reporter from Turkey’s Anadolu Agency asked about another issue regarding the phone call between the Chinese and Russian foreign ministers. Specifically, if Iran makes a request, will China and Russia consider providing military support to Iran? Was this possibility discussed during the call?

“Regarding the phone call between Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, China has already issued a statement outlining the details. I have no additional information to provide,” Mao Ning responded.
