Beijing's "14th Five-Year Plan" economic growth will exceed 1 trillion yuan

People’s Finance News April 8—Today, the full text of the 《Beijing Municipal National Economic and Social Development Plan Outline for the 15th Five-Year Period》 has been released. The plan outline sets Beijing’s economic growth targets for 2026 to 2030 at an annual average growth rate of 4.5% to 5%, and strives to achieve better results. This means that, over these five years, the incremental growth of Beijing’s economy will exceed 1 trillion yuan. According to Beijing’s Development and Reform Commission, the plan outline is anchored on the goal of taking the lead in basically achieving socialist modernization by 2035, and it accurately captures the phased characteristics of the “15th Five-Year Period” in areas such as the technological revolution and industrial changes, as well as changes in the demographic structure. It sets 29 major indicators in total; all target values have been scientifically calculated and comprehensively balanced. They will guide the key tasks in the plan outline to be advanced and implemented year by year.
