Iranian military claims to have hit a U.S. naval vessel
Ask AI: Why is Iran emphasizing respect for Oman’s sovereignty after the attacks?
A reporter from China Media Group has learned that on the 28th, local time, a spokesperson for the HATAM-ANBIYA Central Command of the Iranian Armed Forces said that in the early hours of that day, Iran’s armed forces struck a support vessel belonging to the U.S. Navy in waters outside Port Salalah in southern Oman.
The spokesperson also stressed that Iran fully respects the sovereignty of the Sultanate of Oman, and noted that the vessel was attacked at a location still some distance away from Port Salalah.
