A U.S. military F-35 fighter jet crashes in Nevada

Xinhua News Agency, Los Angeles, March 31 (Reporter Gao Shan, Tan Jingjing) According to U.S. media reports, a U.S. Air Force F-35 stealth fighter crashed on the same day north of Las Vegas in Nevada, and the pilot ejected and escaped.

In an email to the local TV station, the media department of Nellis Air Force Base in the United States said the accident occurred about 40 kilometers northeast of the town of Indian Springs, within a restricted federal area that is in controlled airspace and also within Nevada test flight training range.

The fighter jet had reported abnormal handling around before noon. After the pilot ejected, search and rescue personnel found him, reportedly with minor injuries.
