JUST IN: A cascade of advances in artificial intelligence, chips, robotics, biotechnology, and space exploration paints a picture of 2026 where machines will not only assist, but also research, produce, and reorganize entire sectors of the economy.


Researchers at UNC left an AI to conduct research for 72 hours, and the system completed 50 experiments, in addition to creating a long term context memory that surpassed human references.
