An insider says the Trump administration is preparing to adjust its steel and aluminum tariff regime: it will keep a 50% tariff on bulk commodity-grade steel and aluminum products, while imposing a 25% tariff on finished goods made using imported steel and aluminum.

The related presidential proclamation may be issued as early as this week.
