Recently, the National Intellectual Property Administration released the “Notice on Determining 2025–2027 National Intellectual Property Power Construction Demonstration Creation Targets,” and Baobian Electric successfully made it onto the list of demonstration creation targets thanks to its outstanding independent innovation capabilities and a well-rounded intellectual property management system.

In recent years, Baobian Electric has always adhered to innovation-driven development, continuously breaking through key technical bottlenecks. It has comprehensively mastered nearly 100 core technologies, including main transformers for ultra-high-voltage AC/DC transformers and supporting generator step-up transformers for large hydropower, large thermal power, and large nuclear power, and it has world-class capabilities to develop and manufacture transmission and transformation equipment. It has successfully developed the world’s first 1000 MVA/1000 kV ultra-high-voltage transformer and main transformers for nuclear power units such as the “Hualong One,” among other sets of milestone innovative achievements, providing core equipment support for major national projects such as the Three Gorges hydropower project, the West-to-East Electricity Transfer, and ultra-high-voltage AC/DC transmission.

As of now, the company has cumulatively undertaken more than 60 national and provincial/ministerial-level research projects and has received 277 awards at the national and provincial/ministerial levels for science and technology. Of these, 2 are National Awards for Scientific and Technological Progress—First-Class. It has 1,524 authorized patents, including 367 invention patents. It leads and participates in the formulation of 114 national and industrial standards, completes 363 science and technology achievements assessment at the provincial level and above, and 148 of its achievements have reached internationally advanced levels.

Baobian Electric will closely align with the needs of the “dual carbon” strategy and the construction of a new type of power system.
