U.S. Lawmakers Urge the SEC to Investigate Market Anomalies Before Trump Delayed an Iran Military Strike

U.S. Representative Richie Torres has called on the Securities and Exchange Commission to investigate abnormal trading activity in the markets prior to Trump’s delay of a military strike, saying the trading activity is suspicious and that the relevant trading records should be formally investigated.

Gate News reports that on April 8, it was reported that on April 9, U.S. Representative Richie Torres (Democrat) said the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) should investigate abnormal trading activity in the oil and stock futures markets shortly before Trump postponed a military strike against Iran last month. Torres said: “The speed, scale, and structure of the trades are highly suspicious—it's obvious. The SEC and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission cannot simply turn a blind eye.”

The congressman urged regulators to conduct a formal investigation into the oil, energy, and stock futures market trades that took place a few minutes before Trump posted on March 23, and to obtain the relevant trading records related to these trades.#Gate广场四月发帖挑战
