On April 7, local time, the Israel Defense Forces announced that, in its ground military operation against Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Israeli military has deployed the sixth division to southern Lebanon—the 98th Division. The IDF said the 98th Division is an elite unit composed of paratroopers and special forces, which began conducting “targeted ground operations” in southern Lebanon last week. It is reported that, in addition to the 98th Division, the Israeli military currently has five other divisions taking part in the ground military operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon: the 146th Division and the 162nd Division are moving toward the western areas, the 91st Division and the 36th Division are moving toward the eastern areas, and the 210th Division is stationed in the Dof Mountain area in southern Lebanon and has carried out multiple strikes.
