A-shares Market Close: Shanghai Composite Index dips and consolidates with a 0.26% increase; over 3,900 stocks in the entire market rose
By the close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.26% to 3,890.16 points, the Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.36% to 13,400.41 points, the ChiNext Index rose 0.36% to 3,160.82 points, and the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 index fell 0.34% to 1,250.41 points. The total trading volume across the market was 1.62T yuan, down 45.3 billion yuan from the previous trading day. In terms of sector themes, glyphosate, agricultural chemical products, and organic silicon sectors led the gains; the banking and insurance sectors led the declines. On the trading board, the glyphosate sector continued to strengthen. Jiangtian Chemical capped at the 20CM daily limit-up, and Xinan Shares and China Agricultural United capped at the limit-up. The agricultural chemical products sector saw volatile yet stronger performance: Guangkang Biochemical rose more than 10%, and Chitianhua, Lutianhua, and Liuguo Chemical capped at the limit-up and sealed the boards. The organic silicon sector opened higher and kept climbing: Dongyue Silicon Materials capped at the 20CM daily limit-up, and Hsingstar Technology and Hefeng Silicon Industry capped at the limit-up and sealed the boards. The banking and insurance sectors weakened: Chongqing Bank fell more than 3%, and China Taiping Insurance fell more than 2%.
