Korean airline SUM Air orders up to 8 ATR72-600 aircraft

On April 7, ATR, a regional aircraft manufacturer, said that SUM Air, the newest regional airline in South Korea, has ordered four brand-new ATR72-600 aircraft and has options to purchase four additional units. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2028. The airline began commercial operations in March 2026, with its first aircraft being an ATR72-600 leased from Avation. (Jiemian News)
