0xTodd: Adam Back is unlikely to be Satoshi Nakamoto.

Abstract generation in progress

Wu Shuo has learned that Nothing Research partner 0xTodd posted, saying that the New York Times’ recent discussion about Satoshi Nakamoto’s identity “does not hold.” He believes the probability that Adam Back is Satoshi Nakamoto is close to zero, because Satoshi Nakamoto once asked Adam Back for technical questions via email in 2008/2009, and the tone was natural; and the early code implementations of Bitcoin do not match Adam Back’s programming style. If Adam Back held about 1,000,000 BTC, it would also be difficult to explain his subsequent commercialization path at Blockstream from a motive standpoint. 0xTodd also added that Adam Back has repeatedly publicly denied it and has even said he regrets not mining earlier. He is more inclined toward a “store of value” narrative and is keen on filing patents, while Satoshi Nakamoto chose to keep everything fully open source.
