China's new ambassador to Sweden, Zhou Limin, arrives in Sweden to assume his post

According to the Chinese Embassy in Sweden, on March 12, 2026, the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Sweden, Zhou Limin, arrived in Sweden and took up his post. Officials of the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the chief diplomats of the Chinese Embassy in Sweden met him at the airport.

In a written statement delivered at the airport, Ambassador Zhou said that China-Sweden friendship has a long history. Over the 76 years since the two countries established diplomatic relations, the two sides’ relationship has generally remained on a steady course of development, bringing well-being to both countries and their peoples, and making an important contribution to world peace and prosperity. In the current complex international situation marked by shifting turmoil, China is willing to join with countries around the world, including Sweden, to send a strong message of upholding openness and cooperation, injecting more stability, certainty, and positive energy into the world. As the newly appointed ambassador, he will work together with all sectors of Swedish society to carry forward our longstanding friendship, enhance political mutual trust, deepen practical cooperation, and promote people-to-people exchanges, so as to keep pushing China-Sweden relations forward.

Zhou Limin is the 22nd Ambassador of China to Sweden.
