A-shares closing review: The three major indices rose and closed in the green, with the chemical industry sector leading the gains strongly.

On April 7, the market fluctuated throughout the day, and the three major indexes ultimately rose to close higher. As of the close, the Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.26%, the Shenzhen Component rose 0.36%, and the ChiNext rose 0.36%.
The yellow and white lines diverged significantly; mid- and small-cap stocks performed strongly, and the micro-cap stock index rose by more than 2%.
In terms of market action, market themes rotated quickly. Over the whole market, more than 3,900 individual stocks advanced, including 101 that hit their daily limit.
By sector, the chemical sector led the gains. More than twenty component stocks hit daily limits. Directions such as large-scale refining and chemical integration and organosilicon led the rally. Qixiao Tengda notched two consecutive daily limits in four days, while Jiangnan Hi-Tech Textiles, Qingsong Silicones, and Sanfangxiang hit daily limits.
The PCB concept rose amid fluctuations, with Tongyu Xincai and Hongchang Electronics both hitting daily limits.
Sport-related themes remained active repeatedly, with Nanjing Sports 20cm hitting its daily limit, and Shuhua Sports, CnTi Sports, and Go?Create Lawn also hitting daily limits.
On the downside, the large financial sector fell, with the insurance segment lagging the most. China Taiping and China Life saw choppy pullbacks.
Several stocks in the innovative drug concept weakened. Lianhuan Pharmaceutical touched its daily limit on the downside; Leimei Pharmaceutical, Run?do Co., and Guangsheng Tang fell sharply.
The trading value on the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets was 1.61 trillion yuan, a contraction of 42.1 billion yuan compared with the previous trading day.
On individual stocks, Cambricon traded for more than 15.5 billion yuan throughout the day, ranking first on the Shanghai and Shenzhen markets. Hen?gtong Optoelectronics, 3C?way Memory, Inventec, and others also had trading values among the top.
