Sudanese civil society organization “Sudan Doctors Net” issued a statement on March 5 local time, saying that on that day, the second-largest city in Sudan’s southern South Kordofan state, Dilling, was shelled, resulting in the deaths of 9 civilians, with another 51 people injured. The statement accuses the Sudan Rapid Support Forces and its ally the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (North Sector) of carrying out the attack, saying they used artillery to hit residential areas, schools, and markets, leading to severe civilian casualties. The statement also said this was the second consecutive day that Dilling had been shelled; the shelling on the 4th had already killed 5 civilians and injured 33 people. As for the statement, there has been no response from the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (North Sector). (CCTV News)
