British media: Iranian sources say Iran rejects a "temporary ceasefire"

People’s Finance News, April 7—According to Reuters on April 7, citing an Iranian source, Iran has refused to reach “any interim ceasefire” with the United States. The unnamed Iranian official said that Iran has set “preconditions” for an agreement with the United States on “durable peace,” including the adversary’s immediate cessation of attacks on Iran, a commitment not to launch attacks against Iran again, and compensation for losses incurred by Iran, among other terms. He said the peace agreement should allow Iran to charge fees for vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz. (Xinhua)
