Slide Falling
Yangtze Evening Post Network March 31st (Reporter Wan Lingyun Jiang Tiansheng) Recently, a citizen of Zhenjiang City reported to Yangtze Evening Post/Ziniu News that the children’s facilities at Vanke Rule of Law Cultural Park in Runzhou District, Zhenjiang City, have issues such as long-term disrepair and safety hazards, and their multiple reports have been met with “passing the buck.” The reporter’s investigation found that the issues raised by the citizen are basically true. However, the reporter’s investigation also encountered multiple “passing the buck.”
On March 31st, the reporter visited Vanke Rule of Law Cultural Park and found that many parts of the children’s playground appeared aged, with loose stairs, missing reinforcements, and handrails falling off. One children’s slide had already fallen off and looked like it had been neglected for a long time.
Fence Falling Off
Subsequently, the reporter went to Vanke Community in Qili Xun Street, Runzhou District, where the park is located. Staff said, “Some residents have indeed reported similar issues to us. Currently, the park is still under the name of Zhenjiang Vanke Real Estate Co., Ltd., and has not been transferred to us, so we have no authority to handle it.” The staff mentioned that a child had previously fallen while playing on the facilities, and the guardians sued the property management, the street, and the real estate company. Ultimately, the real estate company was held responsible. According to Tianyancha information, (2025) Su 1111 Minchu No. 753, Zhenjiang Vanke Real Estate Co., Ltd., was finally ordered to pay 10,000 yuan.
Community staff said that the community had taken some measures, such as setting up warning lines and using loudspeakers to alert, but some citizens still played there at night, “They tore down the warning lines.” Can these facilities be removed? The staff said that one issue is authority, and another is funding.
Later, the reporter called Zhenjiang Vanke Real Estate Co., Ltd., but after being prompted to transfer to a human operator, no one answered. After multiple calls, still no response.
Tianyancha information shows that Zhenjiang Vanke Real Estate Co., Ltd., and its legal representative, were subject to consumption restrictions by the Zhenjiang Runzhou District People’s Court in 2025.
Missing Reinforcements
Subsequently, the reporter checked the “National Enterprise Credit Information Publicity System” and found the company’s address at No. 10 Tanshan Road, Runzhou District, Zhenjiang City. However, upon arrival, it was found to be a residential community developed by Vanke. The security guard at the community told the reporter that Vanke had moved out long ago, and their current location is unknown.
Regarding this situation, the reporter immediately reported to the Zhenjiang Market Supervision Administration and Runzhou District Market Supervision Administration, explaining that the company’s documents had not been updated in time and that the current address did not match. Both agencies said they would record the situation.
For the issues at the park, the reporter also contacted the Runzhou District Urban Management Bureau. Staff said they would record the issue but were unsure whether the park’s problems fell under their jurisdiction. If the real estate company cannot be found, they suggested contacting the local Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau.
The reporter then contacted the Runzhou District Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, which stated that currently, real estate within the city is managed uniformly by Zhenjiang Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau.
Finally, the reporter contacted the Zhenjiang Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau. After explaining the situation, staff said, “I need to understand the situation first.”
Children are no small matter. The “diseased” children’s facilities at this park are riddled with hidden dangers. Where will they go from here? Yangtze Evening Post/Ziniu News will continue to follow up.
